At the last minute, my mom decided to make a quick favor for my brother's birthday dinner last Saturday. I showed her some ideas on Pinterest, and she decided to go with the simple candy bar wrap. She bought the paper, while I created a simple tag on Storybook Creator 4.0. Thanks to a few foam squares and adhesive tape, we pulled everything together a few hours prior to the dinner. Whew!

Customizable iPhone Cases
Ever since I got my first smartphone (iPhone 4S) last summer, I've been totally addicted to it. I had wanted to buy a personalized case from another company, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $59 for it. (Yikes!) So I was very excited when CM announced that iPhone cases (for 4/4S and 5) would become a part of their digital product line.
I'm planning to order a couple of product credits now, which will give me some time to create my case and perhaps another as a gift. If I ever want to switch designs, I can simply create a new insert for $12.95. There are templates available at the Digital Center, or if you have Storybook Creator 4.0, you can create one from scratch. I'm going to have a ton of fun creating my case - stay tuned!

April Workshop Sneak Peek
My box of new March/April products arrived last week! I couldn't wait to try out the new shape maker, as "shapes" is theme of our next workshop.
The shape maker system came with the circle and square cartridges. A puzzle cartridge is also available. (Check out the demo video here.) I was pleasantly surprised to find the handle so easy to use - much better than the old shape makers!
Thanks to a ton of ideas that I've been "pinning" one of my Pinterest boards, I had my ideas all set. I was able to complete 5 out of my 6 cards planned for our April workshop. I love that we chose the fun, vibrant colors of the new Candy Shop Power Palette to complement our shapes theme.
Can you find all the ways I incorporated circles and squares into these designs? |
Hope you can join us for relaxing afternoon of crafting on Sunday, April 21. You'll have to come to the workshop to see what card #6 will be!
