Merry Christmas: More Recipe Cards

I hope this Christmas season touched your heart!  I had a wonderful weekend, as it was incredibly relaxing... Things are sooo much better when you finish your shopping on time!  I was blessed to spend time with my dear friends from high school.  We did a mini recipe swap as we gathered for a yummy Christmas brunch on Christmas Eve.  Some friends shared the recipe to a breakfast dish, while others prepared a to-go dessert.  Thanks to Storybook Creator, the recipe cards were a breeze to complete.  Longs had a sale on some mini photo albums, and I found some colors that worked perfectly.  Next year, we might have to keep this tradition alive and add more recipes to the album!

Swapping Recipe Cards

As I've admitted in my previous post, cooking is not one of my hobbies.  But after yesterday's workshop, I am so thrilled to have a new batch of recipes!  Bliss' idea for a digital/traditional recipe card swap worked out wonderfully.  Everyone worked hard to decorate their recipe cards... then we were rewarded when it was time to swap!
Bliss starts the swapping...

Recipe Cards

What I love about Storybook Creator Plus (Creative Memories' digital scrapbooking software) the most is that I can become my very own graphic designer.  Seriously, this is way better (and more intuitive to use) than Photoshop. I just finished up some recipe cards for our workshop tomorrow. Special thanks to our participants that sent in their recipes! The cards were created using the Nancy O'Dell Recipe digital kit and will be printed as 4x6 photos at Costco.

Don't all of these recipes sound amazing?!  I don't cook at all (*gasp*) but reading these recipes does inspire me a little bit.  Let me know if you're interested in a recipe book kit... Hope to post pictures of our finished product after tomorrow's workshop!

Craft Fair Recap

After watching an amazing Rainbow Wahine Volleyball victory last night (thanks, DVR!), I was all packed and ready for today's craft fair.  I've learned over the years that sometimes less is more...

This morning, Tina and I started setting up at 8:30 am at Mililani Rec Center 5.  We had lots of goodies for sale!

Overall, we were blessed by a steady stream of customers.  Thank you to those friends that made the special trip out to visit us.  Until next year...!
