A Unique Gift

For my Aunty and Uncle's 25th wedding anniversary, my mom wanted to purchase them a bottle of wine and personalize the label around it.  This was another good challenge for Storybook Creator 4.0! We measured the dimensions of the old label on the bottle and set up a customized page in SBC.  After searching around online for some inspiration, we designed this unique "vintage" label, incorporating their name and the year they were married...

We printed it on some cream colored paper and taped it over the old wine label.  Everything blended together so well - it was meant to be! We presented the gift to them last weekend and they loved it.  May this inspire you to create unique gifts for your loved ones!

Another Idea for Journal Boxes

I used to love CM's "Storybox" collection... It was a pack of photo mats and journal cards to help expedite the scrapbooking design process.  There were tons of paper in these packs!  I am still trying to use up all the journal boxes from packs that have been discontinued long ago.

I have quite the assortment!  Recently, I've been finding more and more uses for these "leftovers."  I've used the smaller sizes as mailing labels and gift inserts.  Earlier this month, my mom made a retirement basket for one of her friends.  She wanted to incorporate florists picks to add messages to some of the goodies included in the basket.  Journal boxes to the rescue!  Here's the result...
